P.I.L.O.T Project
(Pottstown Influential Leaders of Tomorrow)

This program is designed to give students a better understanding of the community they live in and to encourage them to be actively involved in their community.

Why is this program so critical now?  We are witnessing a crisis for inner city youth all across America. Children growing up in our cities face daunting obstacles as they enter their teenage years, and many youth succumb to the pressures facing them, whether that be to drop out of school, get involved in gangs, or use drugs. We need innovative ways to break this cycle. The Pottstown PILOT PROJECT is about providing a "life-changing experience" to at-risk youth in Pottstown, many of whom have never left the borough of Pottstown. We specifically targeted youth in 7th grade (12-13 years old), when they are beginning to make important life decisions.

How can a 7th Grader enroll? All seventh grade Pottstown Middle School students are eligible to enroll in the program. Students are invited to fill out a Program Application (Click Here)explaining their interest in wanting to be part of this pilot program and what they hope to learn from the year long experience. Deadline for applications is: Friday January 30th
